Day 3 

Paddling distance:11. So it is short. We should have plenty of time to surf and play. The morning started with a nice breakfast: ham and cheese omelette and toast! We had our yoga stretch and our surfing course. The goal of the day is surfing. We will go through 4 major rapids. On the river we had a lot of fun. The waves were huge! But really huge! We picked up some very nice waves to surf… Things like 2 or 3 minutes of surf on the same place, going from left to right and right to left on the wave. I even fight with my paddle and the paddle did win. I have a nice crack on the top of my nose that is bleeding, right in the middle of it. I may have 1 or 2 black eyes. Conclusion: a nice day.

 

Arriving at camp we were signed up for massages. That has been awesome. 1 hour of pure heaven. After 3 days, all the muscles are aching and this is pure luxury.

Dinner was good and then we played Mafia game with all of the people. The town of Tarkio had 4 mafia members who would kill every night. One angel knew who were the mafia and tried to direct the citizens of Tarkio town to drive out all the mafia members. The master of the game picked up Mafia members. Citizens didn't know who the mafia is and the mafia doesn't know who the angel is. Each night there is a new murder from the mafia, and every day the city members (including the mafia members) have to drive out one member, hopefully picking the mafia member and not a regular citizen. A trial is held to decide who is driven out. The last community to stay, wins. Here is how the game starts: The master of the game asks everyone to go to sleep (close their eyes and have their head down). The master goes around and touches the head of the mafia members. Then he asks the mafia members to go back to sleep, go around and touch the head of the angel and point out the mafia members. The game starts with a night and the mafia members point out the first kill. And it goes on, with night and days cycles. Pretty funny game. After a good night we woke up with some nice bruises and some stiffness. This is vacation!
