Here we
are, our great Grand Vacations. 10 days! That's actually what we have in the
States (or close). We end up appreciating at its true value these vacations.
Désolé pour les Francophones, après de nombreuses demandes,
ce journal sera en anglais pour changer un peu
promis le prochain voyage
sera en francais.
So here we are. We left our laptops at the office, we switched off our cell
phones, anyway we don't have signal in the middle of Montana/Idaho Mountains,
so there is no point of having a cell phone. We are at the airport, after many
security checks, ready to board for our new adventures. We are, after a quick
stop at SLC, going to Missoula, Montana. We will drive tomorrow to the put in
of the Main Salmon River in Idaho. The group, 20 people or so, should be great,
as we will join at least 5 of our friends from Houston, TX (Bayou City White
Water Club). We will gather on the same river we ran down 2 years ago (See "Middle
Fork Trip" on this website). We will just do the lower part this time;
from last time's take out to about 80 miles further down. The water should be
great and run at a pretty good level giving us plenty of occasions to Rodeo
and surf. But let's just wait a couple of days for these details. Tonight is
the "Breaking the ice" meeting where we will meet with the entire
group!
Let's roll it! We are on vacations!!!
Missoula, little city in Montana, there is even a university Meeting with our friends, Loren, Greg, Susan, Jeff, Sue, Alan and Molly. It's time to prepare the boats , have our pre-trip meeting (great, Polly and Land are guiding us again!) and pack for the next day Clock is set for 6am.
